Who we are at AssistAbroad.com What assistabroad.com can provide for you

Assist Abroad is a new service to help you resolve any problems you might encounter while you’re travelling.

There is a FREE Basic Service which has a number of useful features, including digital maps and data storage.

There is also an optional Enhanced Service which has some very important additional services, such as a 24/7 helpline.

Both Free and Enhanced services already cover travel across Europe, with further destinations currently being added so that ultimately Assist Abroad will provide global coverage.

The Basic Service gives you free access to digital maps of Europe, providing details of more than two million local service providers you may need while travelling (dentists, doctors, hospitals, vehicle breakdown and many more). You can also recommend service providers to add to the resource.

Another free service included is a secure data storage facility where you can store copies of important travel documents (such as passports and visas), pass codes, and the names of people to contact in an emergency.

Why choose the Enhanced Service?
Why would you need more cover? Joining assistabroad.com
The ENHANCED Service includes everything in the free Basic Service, but for an annual subscription of £18 you have access to three important additional services :
The 24/7 Information Helpline. Assist Abroad members can call the helpline (non-premium rate), around the clock whenever they need assistance while travelling. Our friendly and efficient staff can make appointments, call family or colleagues on your behalf, give you any information you might require and generally help you sort out any problem that might arise during your trip
A standby live interpreter service to explain what you want to people who don’t speak your language
A system of locating you on the digital map if you request this using your mobile phone

While our free Basic Service provides valuable resources for travellers, only the 24/7 helpline available in the Enhanced Service offers the convenience of live assistance.

To use the Basic Service, you will also need access to a computer, which may not be possible at the point of difficulty.

Additionally, Assist Abroad helpline staff can tap into a much wider range of information and services than can be publicly displayed in the Basic Service area. They can contact service providers on your behalf in local areas, whereas on the Basic Service you would need to ring around yourself to find, for example, a dentist who can see you immediately.

One call to our helpline could solve a lot of problems and save your holiday.
